Vanessa Bueno

SB: Tell us a little about who Vanessa Bueno is and some background about yourself.

VB: I was born in Manhattan but raised in LIC, Queens yes I am a Queens girl and I love my borough lol. I’m Dominican. When you first meet me I may seem quiet but once I get good vibes from a person I let people know who I really am. I’m a down to earth real type person. I love to laugh and make people laugh.

SB: When did you decide you wanted to model?

VB: I always wanted to get into modeling and acting but about two years ago I actually decided to pursue it.

SB: What is your goal in modeling?

VB: My goals in modeling are to be very successful in every project I am a part of. I don’t want to just limit myself to one thing I want to get into as many things as possible. I am starting to take acting classes and I was also taking dancing classes.

SB: Would you like to act or sing aside from modeling?

VB: I want to be everywhere. When you pick up a magazine I’m there, when you turn on the tv I’m
there, when you’re driving and you pass by a billboard I’m there lol. I wish I could be a singer as well because I love to sing but maybe after I take some singing classes; I’ll get back to you on that one lol.

SB: What would you tell someone who wants to model?

VB: If somebody tells me they would like to become a model I would tell them “make sure you are, not 100, but 1000 percent sure this is what you want to do and your heart is completely in this”. It’s not as easy as it looks. So many people start to model then give it up because of all the let downs and disappointments. They make you feel like you’re not good enough.

There so is much competition out there. People in this industry like to lie to you and take advantage of you make you feel like you have to do things you might not want to do, just to get anywhere in this industry. Sadly, a lot of girls want to be a successful model so bad, that they do whatever they think it takes and what they are told no matter what.

People will talk about you, judge you and start rumors. Take it from me, as long as you work hard and stay focused and ignore the negative and have a positive support system, you will go far and you don’t need to lose your self-respect for it. I may not be exactly where I want to be in the industry right now but I will be because I’m putting in the time, not trying to take shortcuts. I will look back and say “I made it and I didn’t have to do something I wasn’t proud of doing to get here”.

SB: Where do you hope to be in 5 years?

VB: In 5 years from now, I plan on actually working more on my acting and getting into movies, shows, doing commercials and being in my favorite magazines.

SB: Where can people see you? Any specific magazine or events you are found at?

VB: You can see my work at my official websites, on my official Facebook fan page at, and of course at I have a list of music videos that I have appeared in listed on Model Mayhem.

SB: What are you currently working on and doing?

VB: I actually have a few things that I’m currently working on right now. I can’t really say too much right now about them but you guys will see soon enough so keep an eye out for me!
