If you’ve never heard of Puerto Rico’s Residente, René Pérez Joglar, he’s a boricua version of Tupac, Eminem, and U2, all rolled into a perfect rap-tivist blend of poetry & percussions.
With medals, awards, and over dozens of Latin Grammy’s under his belt, this activist and humanitarian, has traveled the world providing social contributions and campaigning for such organizations as UNICEF and Amnesty International.
Besides traveling the world, El Residente has constantly been an advocate for education,
civil rights, for the people, and for the island of Puerto Rico.
